• The Craft Centre (a volunteer organization) offers activities of interest and and creativity in a wide assortment of areas with excellent instructors. Minimum class sizes insure we can pay our bills and keep the Centre running.

An ancient craft of three-dimensional embroidery for all levels of experience. A variety of stitches will be taught to create beautiful designs. Bring a 5 inch embroidery hoop and scissors. Supplies not included.

POTTERY FOR KIDS: HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM
Designed for homeschool kids 6 to 13 years old (recommended parents attend with ages 6/7), This program is an opportunity to create a variety of pottery projects and explore different play building techniques in a fun environ-ment. I’ll project will be glazed and fired. Materials ($25) supplied. This course is being offered at major discount through the generous support of the FCSS.

KIDS PAINTING PARTY: APRIL PD DAY
One day, two projects. This class is for Kids needing something to occupy their afternoon on PD day. Complete a canvas of a vibrant butterfly and "kindness rocks". Please bring a paint shirt and a snack.

CHALK PAINT: FARMHOUSE CLOCK
Create your own jumbo wood farmhouse clock from a selection of chalk paint colors, waxes and stencils. Includes all supplies to complete a spectacular 24 inch round clock.

EASY-PEASEY POTTERY FOR KIDS
Two classes to create one or more projects and see them finished. Good intro to the giant area that is crafted pottery. See how a piece is created from beginning to end – and do it all yourself. This is your chance to see if a child has an interest and/or talent in this artform. Materials included in the fee.

Date and time: April 21 to April 28, 10 AM – 12 noon
Fee: Special FC SS Grant fee $28.
BEGINNERS AND SENIORS
An opportunity to play with clay and learn basic skills. Create and decorate pieces that will be kiln fired and glazed. No experience needed. All equipment and Clay provided. In between workshops drop into our studio and practice your skills.

Date and time: Thursdays, April 19 to 26, 1 – 3 PM
Fee: $45 (includes $8 supplies.)
POTTERY STUDIO TIME
A great opportunity to improve your craft, enjoy the camaraderie of other artistic people and use Craft Centre facilities and equipment. Must have experience and/or have taken a WAAACC class. Participants must assist with cleanup after each session.
Facilitator only – no instructor.
Date and time: Saturdays, April 7 – June 30
Fee: $60 (Purchase clay from the centre which includes glazes and firing.)
QUILTING PROJECT TIME
A self-directed "Project Tme" for all levels of quilting. Bring a new or existing project and the facilitator will provide coaching and support towards the completion of your project. The Craft Centre provides irons and boards. Bring the sewing machine and all the needed supplies for your project.
